At 19, during her freshman year at the University of Virginia, a devastating leg injury didn’t just
end her season. It unraveled her identity. The girl who had always defined herself by her performance suddenly had nothing to perform.
On February 14, 1994, she attempted suicide.
Days later, standing at a bus stop, something shifted.
She made a quiet decision — not loud, not dramatic, just real — that her life was going to matter.
That she was going to figure out what it meant to be unshakable.
And then she was going to spend the rest of her career helping others do the same.

Becky transferred to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she became a Division I All-American goalkeeper & helped lead the Huskers to back-to-back Big 12 Championships.
She competed in the inaugural WUSA combine, was drafted by the New York Power, and was traded to the Boston Breakers — all while simultaneously continuing her coaching career at the University of Hartford.
At 25, she became one of the youngest Division I Head Coaches in the country at Iowa State University — a role she stepped into as interim and earned outright.
In her time there, she led the program to its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and was named Big 12 Coach of the Year.
She has since been inducted into the Nebraska Soccer Hall of Fame.
In 2017, doctors told her that six knee surgeries meant no more competing, no more running, no more heavy lifting.
She rejected that.
She went on to earn her natural bodybuilding pro card and
finished 4th in the world — the only mother on stage.
Today, Becky is the founder of Athlete Achievement Academy and UNSHAKABLE™ — a performance coaching and curriculum platform that has guided athletes, leaders, and high
performers in building confidence that doesn’t shake under pressure.
She has helped athletes earn over $7 million in scholarships since founding AAA, and her UNSHAKABLE™ Women program is transforming organizational cultures in healthcare, business, and beyond.
She holds a Master’s degree in Sport Management from Baylor University and is a Certified Keynote Speaker.
Her first book — 10 Feet Tall & Bulletproof: How to Hack
Confidence & Achieve Elite Performance — is forthcoming.
Becky lives in Omaha, Nebraska with her husband John and their three children, Lily, Sam, and Eli.
